Types of genre
Film genres are categories that define movie based on its narrative elements.
There are many different types of genres, but the 8 basic ones are as follows:
- Action
- Comedy
- Drama
- Fantasy
- Horror
- Mystery
- Romance
- Thriller
With type of genre there are certain things that the audience, viewing expect from it. For example the horror genre.
Dark color grading, a lot of jump cuts, jump scares, gloomy mise-en-scene and sounds that are done in a way to give this eerie feeling to the audience
